HI!

On August 30 we arrived in Castleton, NY. The other 2 boats we are traveling with and us rented the crane for $50.00 and 2 hrs. per boat and to get our masts stepped. It really took 4 of us to "getter done!" Everything went up without a problem. We then moved across the river to mooring balls for $5.00 a night. Castleton was a power boat haven and not very friendly to "blow boats" as they referred to us. We spent the next day just getting everything rigged back to become a sail boat again. JOHESA is very happy.
Our next stop on Sept 1 was to Coeymans Landing Marina. What a difference 5 miles makes!! This a great stop. Super friendly people, diesel, gas, propane, laundry, great restaurant and best of all we had happy hour in a hot tub over looking the Hudson!! It is raining and cold though, thanks to Earnesto. I want to wish my mom "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" today. I better not give her age away but she doesn't look it. We had a nice chat with her and my dad. Tomorrow we leave for Saugerties, up the Esopus Creek to anchor. We are now faced with tides, must keep a close eye on currents and markers. The Hudson is about 150 miles and then we get into New York Harbor. Hope you are all enjoying a great 3-day weekend!

Great to read of your progress, we rented a houseboat last weekend in Wabasha MN (in honor of you guys!) Never left the marina of course, got used to the sound of the pump running when the Head was used, a familiar interruption to the peacefulness of the Marina.
Have fun and take care on the high seas.
